Hey everyone, I wanted to share some thoughts on something that’s been weighing on me regarding the Ruben Gonzalez case. So much of the attention gets focused on the courtroom drama and the trial outcomes, but I've been thinking about Ruben's family—especially his mother, Lilliam Rivera, and sister, Alba. Living with such a traumatic loss must be incredibly challenging, and it's hard to imagine the void that's left behind. One thing that stands out to me is how important the role of community support can be during times like this. If any of you are from New Haven or nearby, how has the community rallied around the Gonzalez family? I've seen in other cases how neighbors, friends, and even strangers can come together to offer support and execute change, but every situation is different. Additionally, it's been a while since the incident. Does anyone know if there have been any memorials or events in Ruben’s memory? Keeping his legacy alive could potentially offer some solace to those who loved him. RIP Rubencito. ?️ Curious to hear your thoughts or any updates you might have! Stay safe, everyone.
