I’ve been thinking a lot about the first responders who arrived at Sandy Hook that day. Can you imagine the scene they were confronted with? It must have been incredibly distressing and something they will carry with them forever. I read about how important it was for them to act quickly and how they had to maintain composure amidst such chaos. Their courage and professionalism in those moments are monumental. It's a reminder of how much we owe to those who put themselves in traumatic situations to protect and help others. My heart goes out to them, along with Charlotte and all the victims’ families, as they navigate the aftermath of such immense loss. The bravery and compassion of these individuals often go unnoticed, but they truly embody the best of humanity in the worst of circumstances.

Did anyone else read about the heroism of the staff during the Sandy Hook tragedy? I recently revisited some of the stories, and it’s both saddening and inspiring. Principal Dawn Hochsprung and school psychologist Mary Sherlach reportedly attempted to stop the shooter and protect the students. It really speaks to their courage and dedication. I can't imagine the fear in those moments, yet they acted selflessly trying to save lives. I’m also thinking of the first responders who arrived at the scene. Arriving at such a horrific scene must have been unimaginably difficult. Their bravery and quick actions were crucial despite the overwhelming circumstances. My heart goes out to everyone affected—especially the families who lost loved ones that day. It’s yet another reminder of the importance of supporting each other and advocating for changes that might prevent future tragedies.
