Hi everyone, I came across an article about Denzel Thornton's tragic death and wanted to share my thoughts. It's really upsetting to read about how this senseless act of violence took him away from a job he clearly loved and from a community that benefited so much from his hard work. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that this happened so close to a school, and yet it had no direct link to the school or any students there. I just keep thinking about those children and what they must have gone through being put on lockdown right after. It's terrifying when violence disrupts a space that's supposed to be safe for learning and growing. It's comforting to know they brought in grief counselors to support the kids and staff, but it must have been incredibly hard for everyone involved. I hope the authorities find some answers not just for Denzel's family but for all the kids and teachers who were impacted that day. Keeping them all in my thoughts today.

Hi everyone, I'm really struggling to understand why someone would want to harm Denzel Thornton. He seemed like such a stand-up guy, working every day to help kids, not to mention outside a school in broad daylight, which feels so brazen. Are there any updates on whether this was a case of mistaken identity or something else? It’s bewildering to think that someone who had no known ties to gangs or a criminal past could be targeted in this way. My heart goes out to his family and colleagues who must be grappling with so much confusion and pain right now. Does anyone have more insights on the investigation or whether there have been any new leads? It’s unsettling to think that the shooter is still out there. Appreciate any thoughts or updates.
