It’s haunting to imagine she stepped outside, not knowing it would be the last time she’d see her family. My heart goes out to her loved ones, who now have to carry the weight of her loss and the brutality of how it happened. It’s crucial that we keep discussing these issues, past just the headlines, to bring about change that helps those who might be in similar situations. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their relationships, and Nathalie deserved so much better. I hope justice is served in her memory.
