It's so tragic to think about Thomas Hart and the loss felt by his family and friends. One thing that's been on my mind is the role social media played in his tragic encounter with James Tobin. They reportedly connected through Facebook, which seems like such an innocent way to meet new people or connect over shared interests. Unfortunately, it also means meeting people we might not fully know or trust. I can't help but wonder if something about their online interactions could have offered a clue to what eventually happened or if there's anything the platforms can do to prevent such tragic outcomes. My thoughts go out to Thomas's loved ones who are undoubtedly grappling with so many unanswered questions. Let's hope for some justice and peace for them.
