I’ve been following Luis Nelson Perez's case, and it’s wrenching to see how his family is still waiting for answers. One thing that sticks out to me is the location of the shooting. Elliot Street in the Hill neighborhood is known to be a busy area, even late at night. With the number of buildings around and the potential foot traffic, it seems someone must have seen or heard something that could help in piecing together what happened that night. I wonder if there have been any attempts to reach out directly to local residents or business owners nearby for any surveillance footage. Perhaps a grassroots community effort could help find new leads. Let’s hope that with more community involvement and continued pressure, someone might feel compelled to share information. Luis deserves justice, and his family deserves peace. If you know anything, please, consider reaching out with whatever info you might have, no matter how small it may seem.

Has anyone else been following the Luis Perez case from New Haven? I've been thinking a lot about the community aspect of this tragedy. The Hill neighborhood seems to really be grappling with a mix of emotions—fear, sadness, and a strong desire for justice. It's hard to imagine what Perez's family must be feeling, losing someone so young in such a senseless way. Even though it’s been a while since June 2020, it feels like the neighborhood can’t fully heal until there are answers. I’m hoping that with time, someone will find the courage to speak up. It’s such a tight-knit area; maybe someone out there has a piece of the puzzle and doesn’t realize it yet. Anyone else have thoughts on how these unsolved cases affect the people living where they happen? The resources dedicated to solving such cases seem stretched thin, and it’s frustrating. Fingers crossed someone comes forward soon.

Hey everyone, I've been following Luis Nelson Perez's case since it happened and something that's been on my mind is the role of the ShotSpotter alert that night. It's frustrating that, despite the technology picking up the gunfire and police arriving so quickly, there have been no arrests or suspects identified. My heart goes out to Luis's family who are left without answers. It's got to be so hard knowing that everything seemed in place to catch this person yet the trail has gone cold. I wonder if there's more footage or other tech they could look into to help solve this? Maybe someone driving by remembers something or caught a glimpse on a dashcam? Wishing peace for the Perez family and hoping that justice comes sooner rather than later. Stay safe, everyone.
