I've been following the case of Jorge Osorio-Caballero, and one thing that really stands out to me is the disparity in media coverage and attention this case has received compared to others in New Haven. It's so frustrating to see hardworking individuals like Jorge, who have done so much for their families and communities, seemingly get overlooked. It feels like unless there's constant pressure from advocacy groups and the public, cases like this just fade away. I'm really hoping that the rallies organized by Unidad Latina en Acción and others will create enough noise to keep Jorge's case active in the media and on the police's radar. It's a tragedy for his family and friends to bear this loss with so many unanswered questions. If anyone reading this is in the area and has even the smallest bit of information, please consider speaking up. Every detail could make a difference.
