I’ve been following Benjamin Garnett’s case, and I can’t stop thinking about how small the world can be. I'm reminded of how he and I both attended Weaver High School, albeit years apart. It’s strange to think that we walked the same halls, and now he's a topic of a true crime discussion. From what I've heard, he was known for his talent on the football field. It's a profound shame that someone with such potential and connections in our shared community had his life cut short. I saw that Cinque Sutherland was arrested a couple of months after the incident. While that brings some relief, I can only imagine how difficult this time has been for Benjamin’s family—especially his mom, Sandra. The entire situation is a harsh reminder of the gun violence many residents have been trying to combat for years. All I can hope for is justice served and stronger community efforts to ensure safer streets for everyone. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
