I keep thinking about Elijah Gomez's family, especially now that the sentencing has been finalized. I can't imagine the pain they've gone through since that day in May. It’s heart-wrenching that even with a conviction, there are still unanswered questions about the two others involved. It seems like one of the worst parts for the family is not knowing the full story behind why their beloved Elijah was targeted and why those two unidentified individuals chose to be part of such a horrific act. I’m hoping that somehow, someone out there will have the courage to come forward with information that can help. Elijah deserves justice, and his family deserves answers. If you’re reading this and know something, please speak up. Silence only adds to their suffering. Let’s help them find some peace.

I was reading through the details of Elijah Gomez's case again, and something just struck me about the way community surveillance was a game changer here. It’s really haunting to think how critical those surveillance cameras were in identifying Jenigh Ward and the others at the scene. Makes you wonder how many cases out there are still unsolved because of a lack of video evidence. It's clear Hamden has embraced technology to assist in solving crimes, and I feel that’s something more communities could benefit from. It's tough, though, knowing that even with this tech, justice can still feel so incomplete with those two other individuals on the loose. I hope that people in the area come forward with more information. Elijah’s family deserves to see everyone responsible brought to justice. Sending strength and love to his family and friends.
