I've been following Kyle Dear's case, and I can't get over how unfair it must feel for his family. Losing a loved one to violence is unimaginable, and it feels like justice is never enough to fill that void. When I read about how Kyle's mom reacted to the plea deal, I could really feel her pain and frustration. It's tough to see her fighting for the memory of her son, knowing she'll never be truly satisfied with Noel's sentence. It just makes me think about what more can be done to prevent these tragedies from happening in the first place. Reducing gun violence, especially among young people, should be a priority. My thoughts are with the Dear family and the entire Shelton community as they continue to cope with this senseless act. ?
