Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into some old reports on the tragic night Kayana Q. Armond was taken from us, and I just can’t shake the mental image of how everyday events can turn catastrophic. I mean, a parking spot dispute leading to two people losing their lives? It’s a harsh reminder that something so trivial can escalate beyond reason in mere moments. I'm especially thinking about the kids she left behind. How does one even begin to process something like this? Growing up without a mom over something so senseless just breaks me. I hope that they have a strong support system around them to help navigate life. ? I saw some community-driven initiatives from 2016 that were trying to tackle these issues, but it seems like progress is slow. What do you guys think could actually work? Are there other cities that have successfully tackled this kind of violence that Chicago could learn from? Thinking of everyone affected still, even after all these years. Stay safe out there.
