I’ve been reading through the details about Deputy Marshal James Jackson's case, and I keep coming back to the aftermath for the community. The loss must have been immense, not just for the close-knit Mulberry Police Department but for everyone in the area. The bravery Jackson and Hamm showed in that moment really speaks volumes about their character and commitment to serving and protecting others, even in the face of extreme danger. It's deeply upsetting that such a senseless act of violence could rip through the community, and I can’t help but think about the impact it must have had on everyone who knew them. It makes me wonder how the community rallied in the wake of such a tragedy. Did they find ways to support the families and each other? Such events can really test the strength and resilience of a small town. Peace and healing to all who were affected.
