Has anyone looked into the background of the various eyewitnesses in the Doyle Smith case? It seems like there was quite a bit of confusion during the trial about who fired the first shot. I wonder if the relationships or possible biases of those who testified could have influenced their accounts. It's really hard to imagine the pain his family must have gone through, losing him so suddenly and then seeing the person responsible walk free due to lack of clarity in testimonies. I hope they found some peace after all this turmoil. It would be interesting to hear if any new information or local whispers have emerged in recent years. Anyone from the Marshall area who've heard anything?
