Hey everyone, Just been thinking a lot about the tragic case of Corey Renard Britt. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain his family and friends have endured since his untimely death. One thing that doesn't sit right with me is the plea deal that Juwon Cooper took, reducing the charge from murder to manslaughter. I know plea deals are common, but it seems like such a massive shift in charges. Why do you think the prosecution opted for this? Could there have been evidence issues or maybe something else we don’t know about? It’s just so difficult to come to terms with how the justice system sometimes works. Wishing strength to everyone who knew and loved Corey. It’s truly a tough world we live in.
