I’ve been reading up on the case involving Jason Stovall, and honestly, my heart goes out to Heather Darter. Surviving a gunshot wound to the face is beyond anything I can fathom, and the fact that three kids were present during such a traumatic event just adds another layer of tragedy to this situation. What kind of support is there for survivors like Heather and those children? In situations like these, where the home, a place that should feel the safest, is violated so brutally, it’s devastating. I hope Heather is getting the help she needs to heal from this—not just physically, but emotionally too. True crime discussions often focus on catching the perpetrators (which is of course crucial), but I think there should also be more awareness about the resources and long-term support available for victims and their families to rebuild their lives. Anyone know if there’s a community effort or group helping them out?
