I was just thinking about the impact of Danny Lewis on his community in Little Rock and how he seemed to be such a beacon of hope for so many people. It's really devastating to see how someone who dedicated so much of their life to helping others and fostering a sense of safety and unity was met with such violence. The fact that he had just been part of an anti-violence event the night before his tragic death just adds another layer of irony and sadness to this story.
I’ve been following this case and, even after so many years, the lack of justice is incredibly frustrating. It's saddening to think of his family and friends, especially his grandson who witnessed such horror, still waiting for answers. The fact that the community has lost such a committed and altruistic person is just so unfair.
I was also reflecting on how hard it must be for the Little Rock police and the community to piece together what happened with so few leads. It breaks my heart to think about the kids he mentored — how devastating it must be for them to lose a role model, someone who consistently showed them kindness and support.
