Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Freda Williams from Helena-West Helena? Although there are many aspects of this situation that are truly unsettling, Eugene Cook’s near-miss really struck me. Just imagine having a bullet tear through your bedroom window and headboard while you’re asleep. It’s a chilling reminder of how indiscriminate gun violence can be and how innocent people can become victims in the blink of an eye. My heart goes out to Eugene and anyone else in that neighborhood who is living in fear after such a violent event. Does anyone in the community have updates from local authorities about any possible leads? Freda’s family deserves answers, and it’s hard to believe no suspects have been identified yet.
