I can't stop thinking about how dedicated Bennie was to his job at Entergy. From everything I've read, it seems like he was truly valued by his colleagues and was known for his work ethic and professionalism. It just guts me to think that someone who gave so much to his community and his workplace could have his life ended in such a senseless way. I hope his colleagues can find comfort in their memories of him and maybe even advocate for more support for employees dealing with family issues. It’s a reminder that you never truly know what someone might be enduring outside of work. My heart goes out to everyone who knew Bennie and Ava, this is such an unimaginable loss. ?

I was deeply saddened to read about the Cato family tragedy. It really highlights how important it is that we pay attention to warning signs and patterns of violence. When I read that Harrison had multiple prior arrests and restraining orders, I couldn't help but feel that more could have been done to prevent this. As someone who has worked in social services, I've seen firsthand how crucial early intervention can be. My thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of Bennie and Ava. They deserve to be remembered for the positive impacts they made in their community—not just as victims of such a tragic event. It's comforting to see Bennie's colleagues at Entergy expressing their sorrow; it shows they were truly valued and loved. I hope this case can spark further conversations about how we address domestic violence and support those in need.
