I’ve been thinking a lot about the community response to the tragic deaths of Montieria and Mernaiya Myers at Simply Unique Hair Beauty Supply. It's overwhelming to see how everyone came together in the aftermath of such a senseless loss. It’s evident from countless posts and tributes how deeply rooted the sisters were in their community and how much they were loved. It’s stories like theirs that remind us how crucial it is to seek peaceful resolutions, no matter how intense personal disputes might get. My heart goes out to their mother, Latonya. Losing not one, but two daughters in such a traumatic way is unimaginable. Let’s continue to support her and the rest of their family as they navigate through this. Also, it's essential to think about how we can prevent such tragedies in the future. It’s so important to focus on community support and conflict resolution programs to avoid more heartbreak in the future. Rest in peace, Montieria and Mernaiya. Your community will not forget.
