His last known location was at his job in the Navarro Ridge Road area on the North Coast of Mendocino County at 10:30 a.m.
Grant's assigned work truck was later found parked in the 2000 block of Highway 1, near a vista point overlooking the ocean. It was noted that he often frequented this spot to have lunch and hike along the bluff. The truck did not appear to have been tampered with.
At the time of his disappearance, Eric Grant was described as a white male, standing at 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes and wears prescription eyeglasses. He was last seen wearing a yellow jacket, blue jeans, and leather work boots.
Following the discovery of his abandoned truck, extensive search and rescue operations were launched in the surrounding land and ocean areas.
