I've been following the case of Emmanuel Cooper, and honestly, it's difficult to wrap my mind around how quickly life can change. I keep thinking about the ShotSpotter technology that first alerted police to the tragedy. It's eerie to think about how these devices are silently watching over cities, picking up the sounds of violence in real-time. While it's crucial for resolving cases, there's something chilling about the idea that there are places where these devices are so necessary. I hope that as we move forward, we can find ways to prevent these situations altogether. My heart goes out to Emmanuel's son and family. I can't imagine what they must be going through. Wishing them strength and peace as they try to navigate life without him.
