I came across this tragic case recently, and I can’t stop thinking about the impact it must have had on Cory Gibson's son, Cory Jr. Losing a parent at such a young age is unimaginable. It sounds like Cory Sr. was a wonderful person who loved engaging in deep conversations. Hopefully, those memories and life lessons will be something Cory Jr. can hold onto forever.
I also can't help but feel for his mother, Rosalind. Losing a child is every parent's nightmare. I imagine the community support at Cory's memorial service at Eureka Baptist Church was a small comfort in the face of such an unspeakable loss. It highlights the importance of community during difficult times. Wishing peace and healing to his family and friends.
