I stumbled across some info about Keyaria Thompson and Deaunte Davis, and it really got me. ? The details about the tragic situation at their apartment on November 8, 2019, are so hard to wrap my head around. It’s devastating to think about the fear and pain Keyaria must have felt, and it's just gut-wrenching. I read that the police think it was a murder-suicide, and it breaks my heart thinking of the loved ones they left behind having to deal with that. It's infuriating how domestic violence seems to lurk so often in these stories, and sadly, it wasn't an isolated case in Little Rock that year. There were too many others like it. The city saw 41 homicides, some with the same tragic domestic dispute backdrop. This isn't just statistics—each number is somebody’s friend, child, sibling. It makes me wish there was more we could do collectively to push resources and help towards those in similar situations. If it can save even one life, then it’s worth all the effort.
