I keep thinking about the impact this tragedy must have on Joshua Flanagan’s family, especially losing two family members to violence in such a short period. It’s difficult to imagine how they are coping with this compounded grief. The loss of Joshua and his cousin Richard Todd in back-to-back years due to violent circumstances seems so unbearably heavy. I also feel for Joshua’s brothers, Michael and Jesse. Having to navigate their own lives without a sibling and a cousin must be incredibly challenging. I hope they find some measure of solace and support through each other and their community. It’s a stark reminder of how deeply these incidents ripple outwards, affecting not only those directly involved but entire families and neighborhoods. My thoughts are with them as they continue to endure this difficult journey.
