I can't stop thinking about the impact Kendrick Sisa's tragic passing has had on his family and friends. It must have been so incredibly difficult for them when they heard about the arrest of Torrence Tillman. I can't even imagine what a rollercoaster of emotions they must have experienced—some measure of relief that a suspect was caught, but also the reopening of those wounds as more details emerged.
I keep wondering about the surveillance footage, too. It must have been surreal for the family to hear that investigators were reviewing it to piece everything together. I hope that footage provided some crucial clarity about what really happened that day. I feel for Kendrick’s loved ones; nothing can bring him back, but perhaps answers can offer them some peace.
Let’s hope justice is served and that this brings about some change in addressing gun violence. It hits so close to home when it happens in places we frequent, like Dave & Buster's.
