Does anyone else find it odd how quiet the neighborhood seems about Derrick's murder? It's been over a year with no arrests or suspects. I wonder if people might know more than they're saying. It's such a tight-knit community, yet not much has surfaced. I keep thinking about Derrick's family and the frustration they must feel facing so much silence. The reward offer is still out there—$1,000 for any information—so I'm staying hopeful that someone will come forward. I can’t imagine the pain his loved ones are going through not knowing who did this or why. Keeping them in my thoughts.
