I can't stop thinking about how Carol King was just 16 when her life was so horrifically taken away. It’s terrifying to imagine the fear and betrayal she must have felt during those last moments. Offering help to someone in need is something many of us would do without hesitation, and it’s devastating that her kindness was met with such cruelty. Her family and friends lived through a nightmare, and the loss they must have felt is unimaginable. She should have had an entire future ahead of her, filled with dreams and possibilities. My thoughts go out to all who knew and loved her. Wishing them peace and strength as they carry her memory forward.
