Has anyone else looked into the relationship dynamics between Sarah "Sammy" Samuelson, Agnes Anne LeRoi, and Winnie Ruth Judd before the tragic events of October 16, 1931? It's so puzzling and sad trying to piece together what led to such violence between them. From all accounts, Sammy seemed like a dedicated teacher and a loyal friend—not the type of person you'd imagine wrapped up in such a grisly incident.
I'm struck by the move from Alaska to Arizona when Sammy was diagnosed with TB. It makes me wonder about her health and emotional state during those months. Was she under a lot of stress? And how did Agnes cope with supporting her friend through such a tough time? It feels like there's so much more beneath the surface that we may never fully understand.
This case has always been shrouded in mystery and it's hard not to feel deep sympathy for Sammy's family who had to endure not only this tremendous loss but also the public spectacle and speculation around her death. It's troubling when personal details, like her diaries, are exposed—a reminder of how victims should be treated with more dignity and respect.
