I find it incredibly moving the level of sacrifice and courage Agent Alfred Moore demonstrated in his final moments. It takes a truly remarkable person to prioritize the safety of another, even when faced with such dire circumstances. His decision to not fire back, knowing it could harm the woman, speaks volumes about his character and commitment to protecting others. The fact that he left behind a family—two sons and two daughters—is a poignant reminder of the personal sacrifices law enforcement officers make every day. It's somewhat comforting to know that even though his life was tragically cut short, his heroism is now immortalized on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. Sending thoughts and empathy to his family, who must carry both the weight of grief and the pride of his legacy.
