Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Lili Fiello Champagne and her daughter, Mindy Peters, and can't shake the lingering thoughts about the impact on the victim's family and friends. When the sheriff's deputy first arrived at Lili's home to report the discovery of her burned Porsche, I can only imagine the horror and disbelief that followed when they found the bodies. It must have been a gut-wrenching moment for the deputy and even more so for Lili and Mindy's loved ones when they were informed. The entire Tucson community was reeling from this senseless act of violence. I read somewhere that Lili was well-liked at her job, and Mindy was a bright young student with so much promise. Losing them so violently must have left a lasting scar on everyone who knew them. While justice has seemingly been served with the convictions of Greenway and Lincoln, no sentence can undo the pain and loss endured by the victims' families. My thoughts are with them as they continue to navigate life without Lili and Mindy. If anyone has thoughts or insights on how the family might be coping all these years later, I'd be interested to hear. Sometimes sharing memories and discussing can help keep their spirits alive in our hearts.

I’ve been following the Lili and Mindy case for a while now, and something that's been sticking with me is how incredibly young Mindy was. At just 17, she had her whole life ahead of her—a young woman just about to embark on her journey into adulthood. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain her friends and family must have felt, losing someone at such a pivotal stage in life. It makes me reflect on how precious life is, and how senseless violence can rip it away in an instant. I read somewhere that her friends described her as vibrant and full of dreams. As someone who was also a teen in the '80s, it's scary to think how quickly everything can change. I really hope that in addition to seeking justice, we can also honor their memories by standing with their families and advocating for safer communities. This whole case is just a tragic reminder of how fragile life can be and how much more needs to be done to prevent such acts in the future.
