Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the people left behind after incidents like the one involving Brandon Jones. From everything I've read, it seems like he was such a positive force in the lives of those around him. I can't imagine the void his passing must have left for his loved ones. It's so important to remember that behind every news story and statistic, there's a web of family and friends whose lives are forever changed. Brandon was working at Mariano's and seemed to really enjoy connecting with those around him, and I've read that he used to go to Lane Tech High School—it's just heartbreaking to know he had such a vibrant life cut short. I really think we need to keep conversations going about how to prevent this from happening to other families. Although we talk about statistics a lot, focusing on the individuals and their stories can, I hope, push for more meaningful change. Sending love and strength to Brandon's family and everyone affected by his loss. Let's all keep striving for a safer community.
