Does anyone else find it chilling to think about how vulnerable Carmen was at that car wash? I can't imagine how scary it was, just going about her evening and then, in an instant, her life was taken away so violently. It's hard to wrap my head around how someone could be so calculated and cruel. I read that the surveillance footage from that night was crucial for the investigation, but it must have been disturbing for the family to know those final moments were recorded. It breaks my heart thinking of her loved ones, especially since her murder marked the end of that terrifying Baseline Killer crime spree. I'm so grateful for the advances in DNA technology that helped finally catch this monster, but I can’t help but think about all the lives that were shattered before justice was served. How do people ever truly heal from something like this?
