I was reading about Teigan Amiah Brown-Peters today, and I can't shake how vital it is that we must do better when it comes to addressing red flags in custody disputes. Looking at the warning signs in this case—Tisha filing the custodial interference complaint just two days before the tragedy—it's a harrowing reminder of how critical it is for authorities to take such reports with utmost seriousness and urgency. I can't imagine the pain Teigan's mom and family are going through, knowing this might have been preventable if interventions had happened earlier. It's so important that systems are in place to protect children in these high-risk situations, and for everyone around to be vigilant and proactive rather than reactive. My heart goes out to Teigan's family and everyone affected by this tragedy.
