Whenever I think about the fire that took Jace, Jersey, and Anthony, my thoughts go to their community in Oakdale. This isn't just a tragic story that gets mentioned and forgotten; it left a lasting scar on people who knew them. It's hard to imagine what the students at Skyview School went through, losing classmates so suddenly and tragically. The school district was quick to respond with emotional support, but it's got to be incredibly tough for those kids. They lost two friends who were, by all accounts, wonderful people. I really hope the community continues to lean on each other and find ways to heal together. My heart is with them as they navigate such an overwhelming and confusing time.
