Hey everyone, I've been following the discussions about Octavius J. Hudson's tragic death, and my heart goes out to his friends and family during this incredibly difficult time. I wanted to touch on the issue of the accessibility of firearms in neighborhoods like Austin. It's truly alarming how easy it seems for guns to end up in the hands of those who are intent on doing harm. I read that the city is working on tracking crime patterns through their data portal, which is a step in the right direction. But I can't help but wonder if there's more that can be done to make significant changes in gun accessibility. Do any of you think that there are approaches that haven't been explored yet, either from a policy standpoint or through community initiatives, that could really make a difference? I'm really hoping we can find some way to prevent such tragedies in the future and provide a safer environment for everyone in Chicago. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
