Has anyone else noticed the pattern of delays in reporting missing persons cases, especially on reservations? It's frustrating and alarming how Ranelle Bennett’s case wasn't officially put into law enforcement databases until days after she was last seen. This kind of delay can be critical in those first few days. I mean, who’s responsible for this gap? Is it a jurisdictional issue between the Navajo Nation Police and the federal authorities like the Bureau of Indian Affairs? It just makes me wonder if these processes could be streamlined or if there's a lack of resources or something deeper that's contributing to this issue. Would love to hear thoughts from others who might be more familiar with the procedures around these cases.
