I've been following this case closely and can't get over thinking about A'zirya Bankhead. It's deeply distressing how an eighth grader, just 14 years old, could lose her life in such an unnecessary manner. I read that she was a student at YES Prep, and I can't help but wonder how it's affecting her classmates and teachers. They must be going through so much right now. It's shocking how one senseless act can ripple through a whole community. I hope her family finds the strength they need in this painful time, and maybe some comfort in the knowledge that people are keeping her spirit alive by remembering her as the lively, beloved girl she was. I know the investigation is ongoing, but does anyone know if the school is doing anything to support the students or honor her memory in some way?
