Did anyone else read about the vigil held for Cyrus Williams last week? I was moved by how many people came together from the community to honor him. It’s clear he was loved by many and that his loss has left a huge void. It’s just so saddening to think about the potential lost, and how many people like him are being affected by the ongoing violence in neighborhoods like North Lawndale. Seeing the city's response was a step in the right direction, but it all raises the question of how we can prevent such tragedies from happening. What do you all think can be effective solutions to actually make a change? Sending love to Cyrus’s family and friends during this incredibly tough time.
