I'm really struggling with the news about Jordi Ibarra. It's just so senseless. Why is it that so many young lives are cut short like this? I don't live in Chicago, but I've been following the news about the gun violence there. It seems like these incidents are distressingly common, and it’s unsettling to think about how many families are left to grieve without any answers or justice. I can't imagine the pain his family and friends must be going through. They deserve some peace and closure. What confounds me the most is how these cases often go unsolved. I keep wondering if there's more that could be done or new strategies that could be put in place to address this. I know there are a lot of efforts and community programs in Chicago trying to combat violence, but it feels like it just keeps happening. How can we help from the outside, or raise awareness in a meaningful way? I just wish for this cycle to end. My thoughts are with Jordi’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
