I just read about Donte Bazemore's case, and it really stuck with me. The part that got to me was thinking about how this happened in broad daylight, right near a park where people, maybe even kids, could have been going about their day. It's absolutely terrifying to think about the ripple effect something like this has on an entire community. I can't imagine how hard it must be for Donte's family and friends right now. It feels like nobody's safe when something so violent happens in what should be familiar, safe spaces. I hope anyone with information steps up to help bring some sort of resolution or peace to his family and community. We all need to look out for each other and find ways to stop this kind of violence from tearing more lives apart.
