I’ve been thinking a lot about the psychological impact on the survivors of the Gage Park shooting, especially the woman who was shot in the head. It's unimaginable what she and the others are going through physically and emotionally. I hope they’re surrounded by a strong support system and getting the care they need. This kind of violence not only leaves physical scars but deep emotional ones too.
It's also frustrating that, as of now, there’s been no progress in terms of arrests. It’s crucial for the community to come together and help in any way possible. Even the smallest piece of information might be the key to solving this case. Keeping the victims and their families in my thoughts, and hoping for some answers soon.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the tragic incident that happened at the birthday party in Gage Park and it’s been weighing heavily on my mind. I was particularly struck by the story of the DJ who traveled all the way from Venezuela to be part of the celebration. He must have brought such joy to the event before things took such a horrific turn.
It's heart-wrenching to think about how what was supposed to be a fun and vibrant gathering ended in such a senseless act of violence. My thoughts are with all the victims and their families. It’s terrifying to see this happening in broad daylight, during what should be the joyful holiday season.
I truly hope someone steps forward with information. That $20,000 reward could be just the push needed to bring some justice and peace to those affected. If anyone has any tips, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the authorities. This can't be allowed to become just another unsolved case.
Sending strength to everyone involved,

I recently came across the tragic news about the mass shooting at the birthday party on West 59th Street. It got me thinking about how a community event, supposed to be filled with joy and celebration, can turn into such a nightmare. One thing that stood out to me was the fact that this happened with a renowned DJ from Venezuela performing. I can only imagine the excitement and anticipation leading up to his set, and then how quickly everything changed.
For the families of Osmer Angel Ferrer Oria, Hector Victor Miguel Sojo Vargas, and Jhan Carlos Blanquissett, the pain must be unimaginable. Gathering for what should have been a joyous occasion, having it snatched away in such a senseless manner—I just can't wrap my head around it. Knowing their identities now added a layer of personal tragedy to names that, at first, seemed abstract.
I hope that everyone in the community rallies together to support the victims' families and that someone comes forward with information to help solve this case. It’s so crucial for the community to stand united against this kind of violence. If anyone hears anything, please reach out to Cook County Crime Stoppers or ATF. These families need justice and some semblance of closure. Thinking of everyone affected who has had to deal with this during what’s supposed to be a warm and festive time of year.
