I've been following the case of Leviticus Burns and his best friend, and I just can't stop thinking about how Denise, Leviticus's mom, must be feeling. It’s unimaginable to lose a child, especially under such violent and sudden circumstances. And to initially hear it was a car accident, only for it to turn into this devastating reality—it’s just too much for any mother to endure. The fact that Leviticus was about to welcome a child into the world makes this even more poignant. His family now faces not only the loss of a son and soon-to-be father but also the challenge of explaining to that child someday about their dad’s life and death. It breaks my heart to think about. I hope the police are making progress behind the scenes and that they find whoever is responsible for this. The family deserves justice and peace. If anyone out there knows anything, I hope they step forward soon. Denise and everyone touched by these two young men deserve answers and closure.
