I've been thinking a lot about the community's role in helping solve Justin De Los Santos's case. Orlando is such a busy place; it's hard to believe someone could flee unnoticed in such a populated area. Surely someone out there saw something or remembers something that might help the investigation. It breaks my heart that Justin's family is left waiting for answers while the person responsible is still out there. If you were in the area around midnight on East Colonial Drive on December 14th, even the smallest detail could be crucial. It's easy to think that what you saw or heard might be insignificant, but it could be the missing piece needed to move this case forward. The OPD's plea for information highlights just how essential community involvement is in situations like this. It’s truly inspiring to see the community come together for the vigil and keep Justin’s spirit alive. He clearly touched many lives with his vibrant personality and love for skateboarding. I hope that same spirit will motivate people to come forward with any information, however small, to help bring justice for Justin and peace to his loved ones.
