Hey everyone, It's hard to wrap my head around the senselessness of what's happened in New Haven with Daily Jackson's murder. I keep thinking about the impact on his classmates and the community at Riverside Education Academy. These kids go to school hoping for safe spaces to learn and grow, and now they've lost not just one, but two of their classmates in such a short span. It must be incredibly tough for the students and staff dealing with these losses, and I'm glad to hear that there are counseling services being offered. Has anyone been following what the city programs were doing for the youth before all of this? I’ve read that Daily and Uzziah were both part of initiatives meant to help. It’s so frustrating to see them caught up in violence despite these efforts. Does anyone believe the community measures will change things moving forward?
