I’ve been following the tragic case of Juwan McNeal and Joe Jones Jr., and I keep seeing mentions of the high number of shell casings found at the scene. Finding over 20 shell casings is honestly staggering and points to such a senseless act of violence. It breaks my heart for their families and everyone involved. How terrifying it must be for the community, knowing there might still be someone out there capable of this kind of callous act. Whoever did this seems to have intended to inflict maximum harm and fear, which makes it all the more important for anyone with information to step forward. I really hope the Atmore PD can get a breakthrough soon. To Juwan and Joe’s loved ones, I can’t imagine what you’re going through. May you find some comfort and strength in your memories. And it’s just so sad to hear about Juwan’s father passing so soon after—it really highlights the ripple effect of such tragedies. I'll be holding your families in my thoughts. ?

Couldn't sleep thinking about the tragedy that took place on East Ashley Street. I'm particularly shaken by the impact this has had on Juwan's family. Losing a son and then, just days later, his father passing away from the weight of that grief... it’s hard to even imagine what the McNeal family is going through right now. It reminds me how these violent acts ripple outwards, affecting so many lives. I've heard about the GoFundMe to help them, and I'm hoping more people can spread the word or donate if they’re able. This community needs to rally together and support each other in these dark times. It also makes me wonder why it's taking so long for answers or arrests. I just hope justice can be served for the sake of all families involved. Anyone with even the slightest bit of information needs to step forward. These are two young men whose stories shouldn't end this way, and we need to make sure something like this doesn't happen again.
