Wow, reading about Joe Guzman has been incredibly moving for me. I never had the chance to meet him, but I can only imagine the impact he left on those around him, especially the young athletes he coached. It's so sad to think about the loss of someone who dedicated so much of his life to uplifting others and giving kids a positive outlet through boxing. The connection between Joe and the Police Athletic League also caught my attention. It makes you wonder how many countless lives he touched by offering young people a safe environment and a meaningful way to spend their time. The ripple effect of his work must've been immense, and losing him is not just a blow to the Fort Worth boxing community, but to everyone who believes in the power of mentorship and community support. I hope the young athletes at the Texas Golden Gloves Youth Center continue to feel his influence and honor his memory by persevering with the same drive and dedication that he instilled in them. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to be guided by him.
