Does anyone else find it incredibly sad how vulnerable our elderly population is becoming due to the surge in violence in Chicago? John Liberty's murder is such a distressing example of this issue. I can’t help but feel for his family and wonder how they are coping. As someone who has an elderly parent, this story really hits home. What were his last moments like, and did he have any warning? It's terrifying to think that these random acts can happen to anyone, regardless of age. Makes you question how safe our communities are for everyone. Are there any movements or organizations out there focused on protecting the elderly or advocating for their safety? I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on this and how we can honor John's memory by pushing for positive changes.
