I've been following the case on Bonnie View Road and just came across something that's been on my mind. It's incredibly sad to think about the child who got caught up in all of this. I just can't imagine the trauma and fear that child must have experienced, and they're going to carry this with them. It’s these young ones who are the future of our communities, and to be exposed to such violence at such an innocent age is truly devastating.
The fact that the shooter might have been one of those injured raises so many questions. It makes me wonder what kind of environment this child was in and how something like this even escalates to the point where guns are involved. Have any of you heard anything more about what exactly sparked this horrifying event? I hope the police dig deep to uncover the truth for Shermonda’s loved ones and for all of us hoping for justice and safety in our community. We owe it to every person affected, especially the little one, to make sure this doesn't just become another statistic.
