I've been following Angel Gabriel Hernandez's case, and something that's been on my mind is how chilling it must have been for Morgan Vershier to realize something was wrong from the text messages. It's such an unsettling thought that someone could impersonate a loved one just minutes after taking their life. Morgan was incredibly brave to trust her instincts when she sensed those inconsistencies. The fact that the messages used the wrong name is such a telling detail; it shows how little his killer actually knew about Angel or his relationship. I just can't imagine the chaos and fear she must have felt in those moments—it's truly unthinkable. Having to explain this horror to Gabriela one day and ensure she knows her father's true self is a heavy burden on her shoulders. I hope that Morgan and Angel's family find some peace and that justice is served in this case. They all have such a long journey ahead, and I hope our community can support them however possible.
