Has anyone else been following the aftermath of the tragic events surrounding Donavon Jones's murder? I can't get over how surreal and devastating it must have been for his family to experience not just the loss of Donavon but then a subsequent shooting at his vigil. It baffles me how quickly things escalated and how gun violence continues to plague the community. I read that during the vigil, Donavon's mother and others were shot in a drive-by. Thankfully, their injuries were not life-threatening, but can you imagine the trauma? They're gathered to remember and mourn a young life lost too soon, and it turns into another dangerous event. I'm curious if others think there's a link between Donavon's case and the drive-by, or if it's just an unfortunate coincidence. It just makes me think about the need for community support and how these incidents can bring out the best and worst in people. My heart goes out to Donavon's family, especially with his unborn child on the way. They need all the support they can get right now.
